A source is a supply route: one seller, or one group selling from several sites.
Sample sources
This page names no seller in Greece yet. A seller is named on the public site only after a review of its sale statement, its certificate and its independence. The free account lists every source with its town, role and evidence level.
Questions for the first call
A certificate and a sale statement tell you who to call. These are the questions that decide whether a lot from Greece works for you.
Used cooking oil
- Is the oil sold to third parties at all, or used or passed on inside the seller's group?
- Which site would load the lot, how often, and in what lot size: IBC, tanker or bulk?
- Free fatty acids, moisture, impurities and sulphur: what does a typical lot test at, and who tests it?
- Is the lot recorded in the Union Database, and which scheme certificate covers the site that loads it?
- Does it leave the country as waste with shipment documents, or with end-of-waste status?
Category 3 animal fat
- Which category is each fat stream, and is any of it sold for feed or pet food first?
- Free fatty acids, moisture, impurities and polyethylene: what does a typical lot test at?
- Which plant loads the lot, and in what lot size?
- Which scheme certificate covers that plant, and is the fat recorded in the Union Database?
- Is any of the fat burned in the plant's own boilers, and how much is left to sell?
How it counts in Greece
- Used cooking oil, EU rule (no national rule reviewed for Greece): Used cooking oil is an Annex IX Part B feedstock across the EU: its contribution to the transport targets is capped. Source: Directive (EU) 2018/2001, Annex IX Part B (consolidated 16 July 2024), read .
- Category 3 animal fat, EU rule (no national rule reviewed for Greece): Category 3 animal fat is not an Annex IX feedstock: Part B lists only categories 1 and 2. National rules decide how it counts. Source: Directive (EU) 2018/2001, Annex IX Part B (consolidated 16 July 2024), read .
These are the rules where the material is sourced. Rules differ by the market you sell into and change; OxyLens shows the reviewed rule for your market, with its source and date.
How to read this map
Reviewed source. A seller, or a group selling from several sites, with a physical role in Greece: collection, storage, pretreatment or production. OxyLens researched it from public and official records before counting it.
Reviewed sale statement. The seller's own website says it sells the material, and OxyLens has read and dated that page. Without one, the sale is confirmed on the first call.
Weekly certificate recheck. Where a source holds a scheme certificate, OxyLens reads the issuer list every week, so a certificate that ends or is withdrawn shows on the next check. The supplier certificate check shows what a check reads.
Not counted. OxyLens researches every certificate holder found in the issuer lists. Buyers only, offices and other paper-only roles with no physical site, and lapsed holders are kept out of the counts, and so are holders with neither a published contact nor an official record of their site. The app lists every holder it did not count, with the reason.
20 of the 47 counted sources in Greece have no contact route recorded yet: OxyLens has not found a published email, phone or contact form for them. They are counted because an official record, such as a waste register entry or a permit, shows the site and gives its postal address.
Coverage and limits
Certified and documented sellers are mapped; the rest are not. A collector or renderer with no scheme certificate and no public evidence of selling is not on the map.
A certificate is not an offer. Lot size, quality, price and willingness to sell to you are confirmed on the call.
